Ilektric are a family run electrician's and were looking for a solid trustworthy logo to push their brand forward.
This design was the most simple out of the three initial concepts developed and presented to Ilektric. Basically speaking, the more simple a logo - the more flexible it can be in the future and this choice in particular was objectively the most versatile. It also benefits from having a horizontal overall shape rather than vertical which usually has the effect of being able to present the logo at a larger size. The larger the logo, the more visible it is.
It’s a very self explanatory logo and takes a risk with the debatable electrician's-lightning-bolt. But when combined with the fresh, zingy red/white colour palette, and a bold bevel-cornered font - an overly familiar trope becomes something new entirely.
